New Website Permits Tourists, Affecinados To Plan California Wine Tasting Adventure
California is famous for its wineries. Now there is an online tool to help wine afficinados and ordinary tourists to plan a visit or tour.
With over 2,000 wineries in a dozen California wine regions, California Winery Advisor (www.CaliforniaWineryAdvisor.com) offers a new online resource to the hundreds of wineries.
Many wineries are profiled and showcased with an on-site search engine to help create an efficient, complete California wine tour.
Wineries are cataloged by amenities, ambiance, tasting fees, wine types, use of “Green” Technologies and as kid and/or dog friendly. Users can add their own winery reviews and rate tasting experience. California Winery Advisor.com is the most comprehensive winery guide on the Internet.
“We are a Google-like search engine for California wineries,” says Barrie Cleveland, Managing Editor of the California Winery Advisor.com. “We created this resource because there were no credible independent sources compiling information and reviews about winery tasting rooms. Our directory has usable, easy to find, and complete information about wineries, as well as unbiased profiles and reviews (click here to see the directory).”
Finding wineries is easy. Wineries can be searched by region, name, ambiance, amenities, tasting fee, or wine type using the advanced search feature. You can customize a tour by creating and mapping itineraries. Wine lovers can find small family operations or big showy estates; wineries specializing in Rhone style wines; those with fancy gift shops or no tasting fees or special VIP food and wine programs.
Individuals can search under dog friendly wineries or wineries with art galleries. Unlike other winery sites detailed winery information is only two clicks away from any page.
All wineries are profiled at no cost to users or wineries. Currently over 700 wineries are showcased. For a small fee, wineries can promote their wine clubs, online wine shops and highlight their awards and winery events. They also have the option to display videos and photographs. It’s free for users and does not require membership.
With so much competition for market shelf space, many wineries have focused on selling wine directly to the consumer via their online presence and in their tasting room. Wineries have spent millions upgrading and developing their properties to attract the tasting room visitor. There are over 500 wineries within Napa and Sonoma Counties and almost 200 in the Paso Robles appellation. Consumers can be overwhelmed without the Internet’s power to research and customize the tasting experience.
Regions represented include Mendocino County, Monterey County, Napa Valley, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara County, Santa Clara Valley, Santa Cruz County, San Luis Obispo, the Sierra Foothills, Sonoma County, Temecula, Lodi and Livermore.
California Winery Advisor.com is continually adding winery profiles and user reviews. New articles and wine educational topics and wine events are updated regularly.
