Looking At Sex Seminars, Italy And Food Being Offered For Those Seeking Something Different
For a travel experience to italy that is completely different, a series of self-actualization seminars are being offered to professionals and others next year.
The Pronto Professional Seminars flagship offering “will discuss what people say they want from intimate relationships, exactly how they prevent themselves from getting it—and why.”
According to therapist Marty Klein (Ph.D), the program will talk frankly about how patients really experience sex. We’ll also look at how therapists sometimes collude with patients’ dysfunctional beliefs, decisions, and behavior.”
The program is geared to psychologists, marriage and family therapists and social workers. The spring 2007 program is entitled Love, Sex & Intimacy: Working More Effectively with Individuals and Couples, and will run from Sunday, May 13th to Saturday, May 19th, 2007 (7 days, 6 nights). However, non-professionals can attend.
Sitting high on cliffs overlooking the Bay of Naples, Sorrento provides a lush backdrop for a rich exchange of international expertise. The geographic area surrounding Sorrento, in the region of Campania, is one of Italy’s most treasured. Just one hour south of Naples, Sorrento sits on a peninsula that juts out into the Bay of Naples. The Sorrento Peninsula offers unmatched access to the cultural treasures of Pompeii, the Almalfi Coast and the island of Capri, all within 30 minutes by train, car or boat.
Participants who register before March 15th, 2007 receive the workshop plus accommodations and all guided tours for only $2,395 per person. Additional guests (not attending the seminar) are invited for $995 each for the entire week. Accommodations include breakfast and dinner, and will be provided by the charming, family-owned bed-and-breakfast Mamicamilla, known for its famous Neapolitan cooking school (www.mamicamilla.com).
The fall 2007 seminar, entitled "High Impact Couples Therapy: How to Sustain Systemic and Intrapsychic Change” (16 CE credits pending) will be led by renowned couples therapists Ellyn Bader, Ph.D. and Peter Pearson, Ph.D. Sunday, October 7th to Friday October 12th, 2007 (6 days, 5 nights) at the same location.
This program is co-sponsored by Alliant International University Continuing Education and Pronto Professional Seminars. 20 hours of continuing education credit is provided by Alliant International University, a provider approved by the American Psychological Association, the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (provider #PCE234), and the California Board of Registered Nursing (provider #CEP11235). Alliant maintains responsibility for the program. Workshop credits have also been approved for professionals from Croatia and Austria.
