Retired Manitou Springs, Colo. Police Sgt. Michael Herst was told he would never walk again after being injured in the line of duty while apprehending a dangerous criminal. Doctors told him he would spend the rest of his life in a wheel chair.
After developing severe rheumatoid arthritis, his doctor recommended Herst use the game of golf to assist in rehabilitation. He turned his passion for golf and a passion for the entertainment industry into several business ventures, including the Verona Golf Company, which launched this month. Duncan is the president of AbleTel, Inc., a successful business management firm focused on building hyper-growth startup companies.
As CEO, Herst is responsible for company operations, real estate management and developing the Verona Lifestyle™. Duncan also spent five years with AT&T, where he was responsible for business sales and marketing activities.
