Texas RV Rewards Program to Create Opportunity For Vacationers To Earn Rewards While In Texas RV Parks
A new card-based program will be launched in May for the 430-member Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) to replace a popular paper-based discount programs. The Premium Loyalty Program is designed to improve customer acquisition and to give Recreational Vehicle travelers the opportunity to earn extended stays and other valuable perks.
Dallas-based Texas RV Rewards, LLC will operate a points-based loyalty program focused on increasing the daily and weekly stays for campground owners, and delivering ongoing benefits for consumers every time they swipe their loyalty cards at the point-of-sale. The flexible point-spending program will replace paper-based discount programs and provide a competitive alternative to other hospitality industries targeting road travelers.
"We believe this gives association members a better program to reach the nation's 29 million RV enthusiasts. This provides a significant edge over hotels and their offerings,'' said Brian Schaeffer, president and co-founder of Texas RV Rewards. "While we are launching this in Texas, we believe our success will enable us to offer this program nationally to all 14,000 campground owners across North America."
TACO is the largest of the state associations and provides more than five million camper nights a year to its travelers. Schaeffer, a respected veteran in the industry, plans to target the growth of the program beyond Texas to campground owners in the Sunbelt, Great Lakes and Northeast regions of the country.
"The Catuity-powered program gives campground owners the ability to compete with others in the hospitality industry that compete for the travel budget of this dynamic and growing market,'' said John Racine, president and CEO of Catuity Inc. "This agreement marks our entry into the association market and is a foot-in-the-door for an excellent long-term opportunity. We are finding that association members are often underserved, overcharged, or both, and they are very receptive to our way of supporting profitable loyalty programs."
Mr. Schaeffer agreed. "We selected Catuity to provide the Premium Loyalty Program because the company had a hands-on, consultative approach to helping us create a competitive program,'' he said. "And they have a service model that allows us to purchase the services that we need while concentrating on the elements of a loyalty program that we know how to support. It is a great fit."
Texas RV Rewards will deploy the Catuity-powered program on IP and dial-enabled Verifone Omni 3750 terminals. Catuity will provide a fully outsourced solution for all aspects of the program at the Association member level, including card production, training, support and all processing services. Additionally, through a partner company, Catuity is also providing an option for a credit and debit card processing service.
Mr. Schaeffer expects to deploy the program to at least 100 locations during the first year. With recent signings in the U.S., Catuity has signed clients with the potential to deploy to more than 1,000 locations. The Company cannot forecast how many locations are likely to come on line during the next year because the client ultimately controls that schedule.
"We continue to be pleased with our progress in establishing our presence and our reputation in the U.S.,'' said Mr. Racine. "This is a rebuilding year and we are executing our plan."
